Focal Point.
The point at which all elements or aspects converge; center of activity or attention
When photographing people, it is not about the pose, the beauty, the shock, or the attitude.

It is a documentation of the experience shared between the people behind and in front of the camera. When shooting 'boys,' I shared deep intimacies that were spontaneously captured 'in the moment.' The intimacy may have lasted years, months or for the duration of the shoot. Regardless, the moment was, and now is the meaning.
My main focus on men is based on sexual manipulation behind and in front of the camera. Using my sexuality in my art, and getting it in return from others.

Decipher.
To discover the meaning of (anything obscure or difficult to trace or understand)
My abstractions are a fascination with what we view to be noticeable, and what happens when you find beauty and texture in places you aren't looking. Once found, these abstract surfaces become works of art, like thick oil paint on canvas, wiry sculptures, and rocky mosaics.

Conveyance.
The act of conveying; transmission; communication.
In my journalistic photographs I try to capture the reality of my environment, wherever I am.

Flying back to New Orleans from New York 3 months after Katrina hit home, I was able to capture some of the harshness of what had happened there. Through ghostly images of existence that once was and now still is absent, to damage beyond repair and disbelief. Though, probably considered a tired subject to most of the world now, it will be something that we, the people from New Orleans will never forget
